About the Designer "Donald Thornton" aka "The Art Angel Don"

 Donald Thornton, aka "The Art Angel Don" is a Sr. Marketing Director & Sr. Art Director for the Jackson Family Foundation. The Jackson Family Foundation was established in 2009 (soon after Michael Jackson's passing) by, Jackson Family Patriarch & Matriarch, Joseph & Katherine Jackson. Mr. Thornton was contacted and put on board the Jackson Family Foundation's Marketing team by one of Joseph Jackson & Katherine Jackson's good friends and associates to do Marketing Direction, Graphic Design & Web Development for the Jackson Family Foundation.

Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, 40 miles south of Cleveland, Ohio, Don took up Commercial Art at Akron Central-Hower where he graduated in 1973 with a 3.8 GPA in the upper 10% of his graduating class. Don also won the "Craftsmanship Award" for being the most outstanding Senior Graphic Designer of the Class of 1973. Don Thornton is one of the most gifted all around fine artists, illustrators, graphic designer and web masters in the world. Don has been creating incredible visual images in all mediums for well over 40 years.

Don earned a full scholarship to play basketball at Fairmont State University in Fairmont West Virginia in 1973 where he majored in Fine Arts. Don was considered by his Fine Arts Instructors to be a very gifted college Fine Arts Major. Don won several awards during his art career and took "Best of Show" during an all campus “Fine Arts Competition” as a freshman while competing against Senior Art Majors and Graduate Students. After college, Don continued his art career as he worked for several graphic design studios and print houses in Akron, Ohio. He moved to California in March of 1990 to further pursue his graphic arts career during which time he created several charitable programs, special events and philanthropic campaigns beneficial to society.

Don founded “Don't Give Up Incorporated” along with the famous international motivational speaker "Jewel Diamond Taylor" back in November of 1993, of which during its existence was a very popular Los Angeles Human Crisis Organization that launched the "Gift for Life Project" in Support of Children with AIDS. By way of his "Gift for Life Project" and it’s "Let’s Stamp Out AIDS Movement", Don was able to partner with the United States Postal Service, the Elizabeth Taylor Foundation, the Elton John Foundation, the Magic Johnson Foundation and the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Children's AIDS Center on behalf of Youth with AIDS Awareness Projects that Don and his staff created and launched during the middle and late 1990's. 

Mr. Thornton continues his involvement in the Humanities in helping to "Build World Peace" in particular with the creation of his "World Peace Plans Social Network" which is currently in development online at;

Don takes great personal pride in working with the "Jackson Family Foundation" in helping to futher institutionalize the iconic "Jackson Family Brand" while preserving the epic legacy of "Michael Jackson" along with the entire "Jackson Family of Entertainment." Don considers "The Jacksons" the all time greatest family of entertainment in the history of the entire world.
